The ATLAS (Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System) team discovered a 19th
magnitude object in images taken with the 0.5 m Schmidt at Rio Hurtado, Chile on 7
March 2022. Astrometrists reported signs of cometary activity and there were pre-
discovery ATLAS images from 23 February.
