Type: Periodic Perihelion date: 15 October 2027 Perihelion distance (q): 2.6 Aphelion distance (Q) : 3,250 Period (years): 65,594 Eccentricity (e): 1.00 Inclination (i): 14.6 JPL orbit diagram COBS lightcurve Atlas The ATLAS (Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System) team discovered a 19th magnitude object in images taken with the 0.5 m Schmidt at Haleakala on 26 December 2025. Definite cometary activity was not detected, but the object has brightened more rapidly than a purely reflecting body should. Cometary activity began to be reported in late January 2026.
