On 14 October 2001, K. Lawrence, S. Pravdo, and E. F. Helin, Jet Propulsion
Laboratory, reported the discovery by the NEAT program of an 18th magnitude comet
with a faint coma on CCD images taken with the Palomar 1.2-m Schmidt telescope.
