Rik Hill discovered an 18th magnitude comet on 18 November 2009 during the
Catalina Sky Survey with the 0.68m Schmidt. F. Manca, Bosisio Parini (LC), Italy,
suggested that the comet was observed at its previous perihelion passage as 1999
XO188, the observations of which, all by LINEAR, were given on MPS 9249 and
82876. The object was therefore first observed on 12 December 1999.
