Sharpless 261 (North Up, East Left)
Sharpless 261, also known as Sh2-261 and "Lower's nebula", is an emission nebula in the constellation of Orion.  It lies at a distance pf ~3,200 light years. This image comprises 10 x Ha, OIII and SII (300 seconds each) , 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 75 degrees over two nights, 16 November 2017 and 17 February 2018. The field of view is 34’ x 23’.  The image has been processed using the CFHT convention, Ha-OIII-SII mapped to RGB.
