Herschel 398 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 398, also known as NGC 1647, is an open cluster in the constellation of Taurus. It contains ~200 stars and lies at a distance of ~1,800 light-years.  It is ~210 million years old. This image comprises 10 x Luminance (20 seconds each) and 5 x Red, Green and Blue (20, 20 and 16 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 80 degrees on 13 December 2015. The field of view of the image is 30’ x 20’.
