Herschel 396 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 396, also known as NGC 2489, is an open cluster in the constellation of Puppis. It contains ~45 stars and lies at a distance of ~3,900 light-years.  It is ~240 million years old. This image comprises 10 x Luminance (30 seconds each) and 4 x Red, Green and Blue (30, 30 and 24 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 30 degrees on 10 December 2015. The field of view of the image is 25’ x 17’.
