Herschel 364 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 364, also known as NGC 2301 and the “Great Bird Cluster”, is an open cluster containing ~80 stars in the constellation of Monoceros.  It lies at a distance of ~2,500 light-years and is ~110 million years old.  This image comprises 10 x Luminance (20 seconds each) and 5 x Red, Green and Blue (20, 20 and 16 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 55 on 25 January 2017. The field of view of the image is 34’ x 23’.
