Herschel 346 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 346, also known as NGC 2129, is an open cluster with ~40 stars in the constellation of Gemini.  It lies at a distance of ~6,500 light-years and is ~16 million years old.  The brightest star is 7.4 magnitude SAO 77842. This image comprises 10 x Luminance (12 seconds each) and 5 x Red, Green and Blue (15, 15 and 12 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 75 degrees on 27 January 2017. The field of view of the image is 18’ x 12’.
