Herschel 341 and Caldwell 58 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 341, also known as NGC 2360 and Caldwell 58, is an open cluster in the constellation of Canis major.  It contains ~80 stars and lies at a distance of ~5,300 light-years.  It is ~1.3 billion years old. This image comprises 7 x Luminance (20 seconds each) and 4 x Red, Green and Blue (25, 25 and 20 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 80 degrees on 11 December 2015. The field of view of the image is 31’ x 20’.
