Herschel 339 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 340, also known as NGC 2204, is an open cluster in the constellation of Canis Major.  It lies at a distance of ~14,500 light-years and is ~3 billion years old. This image comprises 9 x Luminance (30 seconds each) and 4 x Red, Green and Blue (30, 30 and 24 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 35 degrees on 20 November 2015. The field of view of the image is 30’ x 20’.
