Herschel 319 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 319, also known as NGC 5054, is a galaxy of classification Sbc in the constellation of Virgo. It has a diameter of ~108,000 light-years. Immediately to the north is the galaxy PGC 46256, of classification Sm. This image comprises 10 x Luminance (120 seconds each) and 5 x Red, Green and Blue (120, 120 and 96 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 40 degrees over two nights, 16 February 018 and 22 February 2020. The fields of view are 32’ x 21’ and 18' x 12', respectively.
