Herschel 317 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 317, also known as NGC 4958, is a galaxy in the constellation of Virgo with classification SO.  Its diameter is ~76,000 light-years.  The galaxy to the northwest is PGC 45254, to the west-northwest is NGC 4948 and to the southwest is NGC 4948A. This image comprises 10 x Luminance (60 seconds each) and 5 x Red, Green and Blue (60, 60 and 50 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 50 degrees on 14 March 2016. The fields of view of the images at the top and bottom are 33’ x 22’ and 18’ x 12’ respectively.
