Herschel 246 and Arp 217 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 246, also known as NGC 3310 and Arp 217, is a galaxy in the constellation of Ursa Major withclassification SAB(r)bc pec.  Its diameter is ~68,000 light-years.  The bright star to the north-northeast in the top image is magnitude 5.7 SAO 27724. This image comprises 10 x Luminance (120 seconds each) and 5 x Red, Green and Blue (120, 120 and 96 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 60 degrees on 29 January 2017. The fields of view of the images at the top and bottom are 34’ x 23’ and 18’ x 12’ respectively.
