Herschel 227 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 227, also known as NGC 2613, is a galaxy of classification Sb in the constellation of Pyxis.  It has a diameter of ~135,000 light-years.  The bright stars are in the magnitude range 9 to 10, and the galaxy to the northwest of Herschel 227 is PGC 23977. This image comprises 10 x Luminance (120 seconds each) and 5 x Red, Green and Blue (120, 126 and 102 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 35 degrees on 5 January 2019. The fields of view are 32’ x 21’ and 18' x 12', respectively.
