Herschel 56 and Caldwell 65 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 56, also known as NGC 253 and Caldwell 65, is a galaxy in the constellation of Sculptor with classification Scp.  It has a diameter of ~80,000 light-years and is a member of the Sculptor galaxy group. This image comprises 9 x Luminance (120 seconds each) and 7 x Red, Green and Blue (120, 120 and 96 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 35 degrees on 27 August 2017. The field of view is 32' by 21'.
