Herschel 50 and Caldwell 30 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 50, also known as NGC 7331 and Caldwell 30, is a galaxy of clasification Sbc in the constellation of Pegasus.  It has a diameter of ~140,000 light-years. It is part of a group commonly referred to as the “Deer Lick Group”.  The four galaxies to the east of the galaxy are, from top to bottom, NGC 7336, NGC 7335, NGC 7340 and NGC 7337. This image comprises 15 x Luminance (120 seconds each) and 6 x Red, Green and Blue (240, 240 and 192 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 80 degrees on 17 September 2015. The fields of view of the images at the top and bottom are 33’ x 21’ and 18’ x 11’ respectively.
