Herschel 47 and Caldwell 16 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 47, also known as NGC 7243 and Caldwell 16, is an open cluster with ~40 stars in the constellation of Lacerta. It lies at a distance of approximately 2,900 light lears and is ~110 million years old.  This image comprises 15 x Luminance (30 seconds each) and 8 x Red, Green and Blue (30, 30 and 24 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 60 degrees on 8 September 2016. The field of view is 34’ x 23’.
