Herschel 39 and Caldwell 20 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 39, also known as Caldwell 20, NGC 7000 and the "North America Nebula", is an emission nebula in the constellation of Cygnus. It has a diameter of ~60 light-years and lies at a distance of ~1,600 light-years and is ~4 illion years old. This image comprises 12 x Luminance (300 seconds each), 0.101m f/5.4 Tele Vue refractor with FLI ML16200 camera at an altitude of 70 degrees over two nights, 8 September 2018 and 30 August 2019. The field of view is 132’ x 32’ (2.2 degrees square).
