Herschel 17 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 17, also known as NGC 436, is an open cluster in the constellation of Cassiopeia.  It contains ~30 stars and lies at a distance of ~6,900 light-years.  It is ~79 million years old. This image comprises 10 x Luminance (10 seconds each) and 6 x Red, Green and Blue (15, 15 and 12 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 55 degrees on 8 September 2016. The field of view is 34’ x 23’.
