Herschel 5 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 5, also known as NGC 7686, is an open cluster in the constellation of Andromeda. It contains about 20 stars and lies at a distance of approximately 3,300 light lears. This image comprises 10 x Luminance (20 seconds each) and 7 x Red, Green and Blue (20, 20 and 16 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 70 degrees over two nights, 25 August and 17 September 2015. The field of view is 33’ x 23’.
