Herschel 2 (North Up, East Left)
Herschel 2, also known as NGC 404 and "Mirach's Ghost", is a galaxy in the constellation of Andromeda with classification E-S0.  It has a diameter of ~65,000 light-years and is a member of the local group. It is difficult to obtain an image of the galaxy because it lies so close in the sky to Mirach (Beta Andromedae) at magnitude 2.1, which dominates the image. This image comprises 15 x Luminance (15 seconds each) and 9 x Red, Green and Blue (5, 5 and 4 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 75 degrees  on 27 August 2017. The field of view is 32’ x 21’.
