Caldwell 71 (North Up, East Left)
Caldwell 71, also known as NGC 2477, is an open cluster containing ~200 stars in the constellation of Puppis.  It lies at a distance of ~4,200 light-years and is ~710 million years old. This image comprises 10 x Luminance (30 seconds each) and 5 x Red, Green and Blue (30,  33 and 31 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of  20 degrees on 29 January 2017. The field of view is 34’ x 23’.
