Caldwell 1 (North Up, East Left)
Caldwell 1, also known as NGC 188, is an open cluster in the constellation of Cepheus containing ~120 stars.  It lies at a distance of ~5,000 light-years and is ~5 billion years old. This image comprises 10 x Luminance (30 seconds each) and 6 x Red, Green and Blue (30, 32 and 28 seconds each), 0.5m f/2.9 ASA Astrograph with FLI ML3200 camera at an altitude of 30 degrees on 3 September 2016. The field of view is 34’ x 23’.
