Andrea Boattini discovered a 19th magnitude comet with the Mt. Lemmon 1.5-m reflector on 2010 October 31. It was confirmed following posting on the NEOCP. The comet is at perihelion in 2019 at 8.5 AU. At discovery the comet stood in the record solar distance of 18.5 AU. The orbit is still uncertain, and one possibility is that it is a Centaur or SDO on a periodic orbit. In this case, like Chiron, its light curve might be rather erratic.
