[Check: orbit diagram needs updating] This object, originally designated as an asteroid (2004 NL21) on the basis of LINEAR observations, has been found to show cometary characteristics by Rob McNaught with observations from the 0.5-m Uppsala Schmidt at Siding Spring. It was found on 15 July by LINEAR. Following discovery it was linked to an object seen in 1996 NEAT images and this confirms the orbital details.
