Prediscovery observations back to 26 August were found. 2005 T5 was recovered in images taken with the 1.5-m reflector of the Mt Lemmon Survey on 24September 2025 at 20th magnitude. PanSTARRS were then able to find archival images of the comet taken on 1 July 2024. Observations (VEMag = visual equivalent magnitude) Date 10x10 mag Error VEmag Coma ' 07-Dec-25 20.1 0.2
